Help Us Renovate the Front Entrance

For years, the Atlantic Theravāda Buddhist Cultural and Meditation Society (ATBCMS) has been a sanctuary of wisdom, tranquility, and community. It has welcomed newcomers and long-time practitioners alike—offering a space for mindfulness, spiritual growth, and cultural connection.

But now, the very door that welcomes all into this sacred space is showing its age. Weathered by time and the elements, our front entrance is no longer safe, nor reflects the compassion and inclusiveness we strive to offer every visitor

That’s why we’re embarking on a crucial project:
To fully renovate our front entrance—and make it accessible to everyone.

A Path to Inclusion
Many of our members and visitors are seniors, people with limited mobility, or families with young children. The current entrance has become difficult—and in some cases, impossible—for them to navigate safely. These new renovations will ensure that everyone regardless of physical ability, can step into the teachings of the Buddha with dignity and ease.

Why We Need Your Help
Renovating the front entrance is not just about aesthetics—it’s about safety, accessibility, and dignity. Your support will help us:

Build a safe and weather-resistant entrance that protects all who visit
Ensure accessibility for the elderly and those with disabilities by adding proper ramps and handrails
Create a welcoming space that honors the spirit of Buddhist hospitality and inclusiveness

How You Can Make a Difference
We are seeking to raise $60,000 to complete this renovation project. Every donation—big or small—will help us open our doors wider, safer, and with greater compassion.
