Fredericton Vesak 2025
In honor of the 2568th Sambuddha Jayanthi, the Sri Lankan community residing in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada organized a Vesak program on May 3rd, 2025. The event featured a morning almsgiving ceremony with the participation of the Venerable Bandagiriye Sirinandha Thero of, along with the esteemed Maha Sangha. That same evening, a Buddha Puja and a devotional song offering (Bhakthi Gee Saraniya) were held. A Vesak Dansala (almsgiving stall) was also thoughtfully included in the program.

St John’s, NL Vesak 2025
The 4th Vesak event in the region took place in St. John’s, NL, yesterday (May 18). Much gratitude to those who were involved, volunteered, and helped make it happen.
PEI Vesak 2025
The fifth and final Vesak event of this year was held this weekend in Prince Edward Island, with a great turnout. Much merit to all who took part. This year, five Vesak programs will be held representing all the Atlantic provinces. The dates and coordination information are listed below. We expect more than a thousand people to participate this year.
